The Appreciative Way

The Appreciative Way is the website of Anglican priest and psychologist Rob Voyle. Rob is one of my mentors, and is a leading voice in the Episcopal church for positive change; especially in the areas of leadership training, interim ministry, and institutional change. Rob utilizes the organizational development process known as appreciative inquiry. Rob's new handbook, Core Elements of the Appreciative way is  packed with wisdom about getting "from A to B

Congregational Resource Guide

http://www.congregationalresources.org/

The Alban Institute and the Indianapolis Center for Congregations have prepared this Internet-based guide to help congregational leaders connect with resources that will enable them to face challenges and foster vitality in their communities of faith.
Many resources are available to congregations, but it can be difficult to know which ones will be most helpful. For this reason, the Congregational Resource Guide is selective, listing resources that people who work with congregations have told us are the best available. Some Alban Institute books are included, of course, but many listings comes from other resource providers.

Natural Church Development

Natural Church development is all about releasing the potential that God has already imparted in our lives. Based on research in more than 40,000 churches on all six continents, NCD describes universal pronciples that are applicable regardless of culture or spiritual style. NCD focuses on increasing the quality of a church rather than on numerical growth goals. This emphasis on church health has proven to be the key to ongoing growth and multiplication.

Via Media

Via Media is a video enhanced curricula designed to proclaim the Good News of God in Christ Jesus and to present the Anglican/Episcopal Church in a contemporary context.

Via media celebrates who we are as American Anglicans and invites others to "come and see," offering seekers both the content and the context for conversations about Christian faith from an unabashedly Anglican perspective.

Team Building

Assess your congregational leadership team (parish council, renewal task force, outreach committee, etc.). Use this online questionnaire to identify helpful/unhelpful team dynamics in your team. It can be completed as a single questionnaire, or you can get a group of people to complete the questionnaire and consolidate the results into a single report. Also there are many other free resources available at this site.
